Sustainable Heating & Cooling Solutions
GEOSYN, in collaboration with eight outstanding European initiatives, is pleased to host the 1st Joint Mobilisation and Mutual Learning (MML) Workshop of the Geo-Cluster network. This high-level online event is dedicated to exploring sustainable heating and cooling solutions for industries and district heating systems.
With 12 expert presentations spread across two focused thematic sessions, the workshop will showcase cutting-edge results from some of the most innovative projects in the clean energy field.
๐ฏ Session 1 โ Geothermal Innovations & Advanced Thermal Energy Storage
This session will highlight emerging geothermal applications and seasonal storage strategies for industrial decarbonisation. Presentations will include system modelling, innovative underground thermal storage, and hybrid low-carbon solutions combining waste heat and renewables.
๐ฏ Session 2 โ Methodologies, Prototypes & Policy Outlook
The second session dives into methodologies and tools for scaling up clean heat technologies: dynamic simulation, industrial prototypes, LCA and SLCA models, and a policy-oriented outlook on clean heat market adoption.
Confirmed speakers come from top EU-funded projects including GEOSYN, GEOS-TECHIS, INTERSTORES, RE-WITCH, HOCLOOP, USES4HEAT, URGENT and GEOFLEXheat โ sharing knowledge on advanced heat pumps, COโ-neutral thermal networks, deep closed-loop geothermal, and affordable urban exploration technologies.
The event is open to researchers, policy makers, energy planners, industry actors, and anyone interested in the future of sustainable thermal energy.
